The "early" Internet
What is your earliest memory of being "online"? I can remember when my dad got Internet through AOL online, classic ol' dial up. Worked pretty well for browsing forums when I eventually discovered those.
I bet you can't see me now!

Re: The "early" Internet
My earliest days online were spent playing flash games on various websites. I remember sites like Coca-Cola.com would have interesting flash games. I would use the Webcrawler search engine to find new sites. XD

Re: The "early" Internet
I started going online around middle school. Back then we had AOL. Had it for quite a while before we finally got something better. I mostly played on graphics sites or fan sites back then.

We used a local dial-up provider. It was faster than AOL at least. XD

Re: The "early" Internet
My earliest memory is making an email address on yahoo to stay in touch with friends. Very soon after that I signed up at an Avril Lavigne fan forum, around 20 virtual pet websites and also spent a lot of time just watching random youtube videos

Early YouTube was the coolest. XD I'd just spend hours watching random videos of obscure people talking to their laptops' built-in webcams.

Re: The "early" Internet
Ah early YouTube, I remember when it was a big deal at family events, everyone would gather around a computer because someone wanted to show a YouTube video that found that was funny.
I bet you can't see me now!

I also miss all the tutorials with people typing text in Notepad instead of talking.
