I think private Servers for WoW have been a controversy for quite some time. Probably because people are playing the game for free including not needing to buy the game to install it.

I've recently picked up a WoW Server called Ascension that has approached it in a way that intrigues me.

I've tried a few over the years. I played WoWcrack and EpicWoW. I'm not a huge World of Warcraft fan, but I've thought about giving it another whirl on a private server.

For me, finding a private server can be a little tricky. I like them to be pretty well populated but also I prefer a 1x style XP rate. Maybe I'm just lame lol

Most of the servers I've seen have at least some XP multiplier.

That one I've been exploring is 1x but it is also a little different. They run "classless" Servers. One of them is a seasonal server that you roll for skills on.

Classless servers? That's interesting. The entire game of Ultima Online is classless and purely skill-based.

Interesting, but yeah...I tried to do the roll server first but it was frustrating me lol so I just went to the free pick and even then still chose to do a premade build cause I'm lazy.

Laziness is a virtue! No need to reinvent the wheel.

Its nice. Maybe I'll pick my own stuff when I'm feeling crazy

How crazy will you need to feel to do that?
