When I was younger, I had to save up money to buy video games that I wanted to play. I was doing so by putting away a little bit of my lunch money, I was also doing gigs here and there. Sometimes it was taking a good chunk of time to save up enough, but it was worth it!

What about you? How did you save up money to buy video games as a kid?

I don’t really remember. I think I usually got them as gifts most of the time. Also helpful when you come from a family of gamers.

I don't think I bought them with my own money. I think more often than not my parents would buy me one sometimes. Ironically a single game would last me for a pretty decent amount of time.

Pretty much the same. I rarely got new games, but I would play them for quite a while.

The exploration was the fun part.
