This is an old Disney game that is no longer officially hosted by Disney but there are two fairly popular private servers. Did you ever play this game or maybe you still do on one of the private servers?

This is one trend that I completely missed. I heard that it was fun, but I never tried it.

Well, it's definitely still around. If you want to ever try it out in the most true way that has a good player base, ToonTown Rewritten is the way to go.

There's another that has kind of gone their own way with the game which is also good but not quite how the game was originally played

I had a run with the game in like 2007-08. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but always wished that there was an easier way to communicate.

Was that the one where you could only communicate using premade phrases?

The private servers give you access to regular chat by default. There's still the chat filtering cause it's ToonTown but it is a little easier to chat than speed chat with the predetermined chat phrases.

Ahh, that makes sense. Yeah, trying to chat with predetermined phrases is rather cumbersome.

I do remember getting quite creative lol

I played it a few times along with Club Penguin

I remember that there was a big scandal involving Club Penguin private servers a few years back.
