These day's I see ads for all kind of VPN services. They all seem to market the same things. I have thought about getting one but the market confuses me

Have any of you been using one and found any value in it?

I think that ProtonVPN is probably the best overall solution, but it's a little on the pricy side. I'm currently using NordVPN because I was able to get a pretty big discount on it; I'm not exactly flush with cash at the moment. It's not bad, but it's not as fast as ProtonVPN was.

Funny, I could have swore in my researching of VPN's that ProtonVPN was ultimately cheaper.

EDIT:
I just did an apples to apples comparison. It looks like if all you want is a VPN Nord does have a basic VPN that is in fact cheaper but then weirdly enough Nords Basic plan if you were to pay month to month is more money than Proton VPN on a monthly basis lol

The difference is that you can often find deep discounts on a two-year NordVPN subscription. ProtonVPN generally does not have discounts.

Will NordVPN give you more discounts on renewal? I'm always skeptical of that.

Probably not, but you can always just switch at that point. XD
