It's Anzac Day here today. It's a day to celebrate the war veterans of Australia and New Zealand possibly like how Veterans Day is done in the states.

Happy Anzac Day! I had never heard of it before.

Interesting! Do businesses and such close for it?

Most businesses shut until 1pm and they don't show advertisements on TV channels until 1pm.

TV channels don't show advertisements on holidays there? O_O

Not on Good Friday, Christmas or Anzac (Anzac before 1pm).
