I think the first I owned myself was a Dell lap top. Bought it after I got hired at McDonalds. It was pink.

Yeah, they did. Actually I think my dad still has it now since I gave it to him after I got another computer. Most of my old ones I hand down to either him or my mom.

My first computer that wasn't just for opening up and playing with hardware in was a custom build my dad bought parts for me for so long as I got decent grades.
The only thing I can remember off the top of my head is that it had an Intel Core 2 DUO. It may have had 8GB of RAM?

The Intel Core processors were really a big step forward.

They were really, really expensive processors geared towards enthusiasts.
