Pedestrians vs Motor Vehicles

This is something my wife and I have been actively discussing recently, we have really started acknowledging that the United States has awful pedestrian infrastructure compared to other countries.

So much so that we have actually started considering that when we buy our first house it may actually be closer to a city center that has businesses that we can properly walk to without having to hop into our vehicle to get to.

As I stated in the other thread, it's very sad that most of the infrastructure in the United States is car-centered. We also lack reliable public transportation in most areas.

True, public transit is generally lacking too

I took the bus when I was in college, and it ran late so often that it wasn't even funny.

Yeah, what's worse when I went to college the college Town Homes had a bus that ran by the school and it managed to not be reliable I just drove myself cause it was less stressful.

Yeash, talk about failing to meet rock bottom expectations.

Yeeaah...also in addition to that I also had a habit of accidentally missing the bus xD

I had a habit of missing the bus and an even more troublesome habit of getting on the wrong bus.

Oh lord....I don't know which is worse xD

At least if you miss the bus, you're guaranteed to know where you are.
