Let me know if you ever run into this issue.

I find when I’m either not getting some sort of a dopamine hit for my brain or I’m simply doing something that isn’t requiring much brain power, that my mind wanders. Oftentimes when my mind wanders, it doesn’t go to thoughts of depression or anything but rather down paths that would trigger that dopamine in my brain.

My problem is a lot of times the things I chase after only provide that hit for a very short period. I often end up feeling sad because once it’s over, I’m bored again and feel down, even though I was having a great time.

Ironically, my writing this thought is a result of that feeling today. Also, it amuses me because this short little thread reminded me that I just got done telling @Juneberry that I don’t like to write, not that this was anything particularly amazing.

I swear my wife runs into a similar thing because her mind is constantly thinking about a dozen things so it's not as easy for her to distract herself from similar thoughts.

I find it weird that I can't concentrate on many things but put me in front of a movie at the cinema for 2-3 hours and my focus is on that movie.

Enjoying it but because I'm weird I love most movies that other people hate

My mind is always going. Sadly usually into stuff I worry about. Sometimes I can distract myself like with a game or something, but its still hard sometimes.
