Aldi's Store

Post by Kermionie »

Aldi's is where my mom shopped to get cheap food and sometimes it was good...but other times, bleh.

My daughter got us a BBQ seasoning kit from there for Christmas, and I have loved everything it came with!!

If you shop at Aldi's, what's good?

I feel like Aldi is a pretty good place to shop for very basic meals. You can get ingredients to make some decent spaghetti, chili, lasagna, and other things like that. For anything fancier, you'd probably want a different store. XD

I like shopping at Aldi! They're the only grocery store that sells calzones, I love their pepperoni calzones. I wish they had a bigger soda selection though... They only have cola and lemon lime soda. (Both their own brand and Coca-Cola and Sprite but I rather have other sodas.)

I haven’t shopped at Aldi’s in a while since it’s not that close to my house, but they do have better prices than Wal mart. I remember i used to get more family size bags of chips there and crackers than I could get at walmart for less money. Even meat was cheaper sometimes.

In recent years, despite Aldi being right next to a Meijer we often skip Aldi because any savings we may get there often isn't worth stopping at two places, especially with a kid.
I bet you can't see me now!

I've heard good things about Meijer, but we don't have them in my area.

Yeah, they're Michigan based so we have them all over the place. Between them and Walmart we're usually pretty set.

Though it seems like every time my wife finds something she can eat it goes on clearance and they stop carrying it >_<
