I custom build my PCs, but I am thinking more and more about getting a pre-built. You often can't build much cheaper than the cost of a pre-built anymore; in some cases, it's even cheaper to go with a pre-built.

I think building computers is still worth while but only for people that have a good time doing it.

I do find that if I want to build something good for under $1,000 Logical Increments is very helpful.

Yeah I learned of them years ago and have failed to actually use them for a build >_> I'm hoping when it comes time to do another PC build I'll remember to use them lol

I have used PC Part Picker in the past, but it's easy to miss things on there.

I've done that as well, but I appreciate how Logical Increments takes a budget number and basically say's...here's what you can probably expect to get for your money and here's a few other options for components within this price range.

Yes, that's definitely a lot easier to wrap your head around! PCPartPicker has so many components listed that you really have to sift through the list; they also often have bizarrely outdated components listed.
