I suffer from lots of mental health issues. Depression is certainly one of them- but it's often tightly intertwined with my anxiety. Currently in therapy.

Dysthymia, it's a persistent major depressive disorder. I also have general and social anxiety disorders. I'm in therapy, I see a psychiatrist and I've just been referred to a neuropsychologist, as well.

If we're talking direct diagnoses... My depression comes from 'Schizoaffective - Bipolar Type" which means I have bipolar with schizophrenic tendencies basically. I just also have Generalized Anxiety Disorder w/ Panic Attacks that blends in annoyingly well with my depressive side of things.
Oh, I also have OCD and a personality disorder, fun fact. (I don't think my ADHD/ADD and likely autism count for mental health stuff at least)

I think I have depression, but I've never been medically diagnosed. It comes in waves and has been that way since I was a kid. My wife deals with depression and takes medication for it. She also has general anxiety disorder too.

I was diagnosed with bipolar II, but the medication that they gave me for it completely broke me and stole months of my life away from me.

I honestly have never really experienced serious depression. I just like to keep a positive mindset and think when I'm being negative or down it's wasting my precious time.
I would recommend Ashwagandha for those that do, though, as I've known a few people that it seemed to really help with that.
