What OS Do You Run?

Wasn't sure if this belonged elsewhere, but it's certainly 'computer' related, and I'm curious.

My current computer runs MacOS 14.4.1 (aka Sonoma).
I also still sometimes steal my dad's Windows 11 laptop still, though not often lately.

I'm currently using Manjaro Linux.

I think I will move this to software if that's okay.

Well, I've been wanting to transition to Linux for years, and it's been really successful so far. I've been able to play every game that I've tried so far with some combination of WINE, Bottles, and Proton (via Steam).

I'm jealous! I want to run WINE on my mac but I can't get it working, and my mac uses silicon, so it won't work with Bootcamp...

Yeah, I have heard of some people using WINE on Mac with some degree of success, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. Every time I've ever tried to use a Mac, I've felt completely incompetent.

That's me 100% so far, and I've now had it for 3 months. :'D

I'm sure it will get easier! The most daunting thing about Linux is the amount of time you spend in the console, but you get used to it. It's also pretty easy to find answers online if you get stuck.

Is the console similar to command-line or terminal?

Yeah, it's a terminal. Most distros of Linux are similar as far as the terminal goes, but Manjaro uses the same package manager as Arch Linux. I thought about using Arch Linux instead of Manjaro, but Manjaro holds your hand a lot more than Arch, which is nice. XD
