Do you gift out your used phones?

Most mobile devices come with a number of years that you can use it before deciding to drop it. Once the year that it is meant to be in top condition passes, most of these phones can begin to develop certain issues. However, do you gift out your device before such time, or do you keep using an old device until it gets worse?
