Speaking volume

When you talk are you typically loud by default, quiet or somewhere in between? Do others agree?

I have a very loud voice.

I'm guessing it takes a lot of effort to speak quieter?

I have been told the more excited I get about what I'm talking about the louder I get xD entirely by accident.

Yes, I definitely have to exert more effort to speak quietly. XD

That's humorous to me because my wife is the exact opposite. She is more naturally quiet so she has to exert a fair bit of energy towards being loudish.

I would say that it's because I'm a teacher, but I had a loud voice long before I became a teacher. XD

It probably comes in handy as a teacher to get kids attention

It definitely does! There are times when I wish being quiet came more naturally, though.

I will say I appreciated the other week when work had our little retreat the camp dude that was running everything would speak at a reasonable volume but would say something along the lines of...

"If you can hear me clap once"
"If you can hear me clap twice"
and so on and so forth until the majority of folks were paying attention lol

It varies. Sometimes I’m very loud other times I talk too quiet.
